Research activities:

Protein and amino acid metabolism at molecular, cellular, and whole body levels; the metabolic rule of various amino acids in intestinal mucosa;

biochemistry and animal nutrition;


Research fellow-professor, Doctoral supervisor, Institute of the Subtropical Agricultural Ecosystem, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wu has received Abroad Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists. Overseas evaluation expert at Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Associate Editor of Asia-pacific animal science magazine and Evaluation experts of 20 SCI periodicals;

Dr. Wu has received more than 20 scientific or technical awards, including Federation of Animal Science Society-American Feed Industry Association “New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Research Award” (the highest award in animal nutrition research in the U.S.). Dr. Wu is the 5th winner in the USA and the 1st Chinese winner.

In 2012, Dr. Wu was elected as Distinguished Professor of Animal Science at Texas A&M University.
